No one can get out of poverty if they don’t have access to life’s most basic necessities.
780 million people around the world do not have access to an improved water source, and every year more than 5 million people die from diseases contracted from unsafe water. On average, people in developing countries have to walk 3.75 miles each day to fetch water; this job falls mostly on women and children, which can make it nearly impossible for them to secure education or jobs.
In only a few months, Genesis One Foundation has raised over $10,000 for drinking wells in Africa. This is good, but compared to what the world needs, this is only a drop in the bucket. You can help Genesis One Foundation change the world one community at a time by donating to our Clean Water Access Program.
